This carbon steel pipe cap enquiry follows the seamless, bevel-end, painted and B16.9 title references. The single variant is Cap / 10 mm / Carbon Steel. The title and specification table describe different connection information, so an agreed drawing is needed before identifying the supplied end interface.
Reconcile the cap interface and dimensional entries
The title mentions bevel ends, while the table states Flange connectivity. Do not select a final flanged or butt-weld arrangement from those entries alone. Request a drawing showing the cap construction, actual connection preparation, mating component and applicable joining requirements.
Confirm what the 10 mm option represents and obtain nominal size, outside dimensions, wall and tolerances. The table also lists four-inch overall length, a quarter-inch mounting hole, round shape, hexagon head and inch measurement system. Allocate these details to the selected design instead of treating them as interchangeable size descriptions.
Verify manufacture and the specified painted condition
Machining is recorded in the table alongside the seamless title description. Obtain the exact carbon steel grade, manufacturing route and traceable material records. Identify the governing B16.9 document, edition and selected component scope; neither a standard reference nor the title proves conformity of the offered cap.
Where bevel preparation applies, specify its geometry and examination requirements. Painting needs an agreed coating system, preparation, thickness and acceptance criteria. The flexible, corrosion, UV, chemical and underground feature labels require relevant evidence and should not be assumed to describe every intended installation.
Establish the cap duty and inspection requirements
Low Pressure and Class 150 provide no numerical operating envelope here. State medium, pressure, temperature, cycling, exposure and loads, then obtain the selected material, connection and rating basis. Agree dimensional inspection, testing and records for the actual project rather than relying on the broad industry list.
