Use this ASME B16.9 ASTM A234 WPB forged equal-tee enquiry to establish the supplied pipe-fitting geometry first. An oil-and-gas application and High Pressure wording do not remove the need for a complete component drawing and accepted operating basis.
Identify every end before choosing geometry
Confirm whether the delivered component is a branch tee or a two-end transition. The actual choices carry Reducer with a 1/2"-110" range and Carbon Steel or a234wpb material wording. Obtain the accepted subtype explicitly before assigning one geometry to this enquiry.
A tee request needs both run ends, branch size, equal or reducing arrangement, branch orientation and center-to-end dimensions. A reducer request needs two end diameters, length and concentric or eccentric alignment. These are conditional drawing requirements; neither supplied configuration is certified here.
Connect the drawing to material evidence
Specify exact nominal and measured end sizes, wall thickness or schedule, tolerances and welding preparation. Customized Size entries and Metric wording cannot replace these dimensions or validate automatic inch-to-metric conversion. Agree the B16.9 edition and fitting/size scope, including the broad upper size range.
Require the accepted A234 WPB specification, product form, condition and traceable inspection records, with manufacturing and surface acceptance for Forged and Plain wording. Both viewed references show dark tee-shaped fittings; their form and markings cannot resolve delivery subtype or certify WPB material and dimensions.
Qualify oil-and-gas operating conditions
High Pressure supplies no numerical pressure-temperature rating. Carbon Steel in the Pipe Class field describes material wording without establishing a pressure class. Oil field, offshore, shipbuilding, water and natural-gas applications need an actual service assessment.
Provide medium, pressure, temperature, cycling, corrosion allowance and mechanical loads. Submit the selected geometry/end drawing, material and processing package, and welding/inspection requirements together before accepting fit or service suitability.
