This flange gasket enquiry references ASME B16.20 and names spiral wound, RTJ and flat constructions. Those descriptions do not identify the construction of the single stainless steel variant. Establish the actual gasket type and its applicable specification before matching it to an industrial piping joint.
Select one construction and its mating geometry
Provide the required gasket drawing and flange facing or groove details. For a spiral wound design, confirm the winding, filler and any inner or outer ring requirements. For an RTJ design, identify the ring section and mating groove. A flat design needs its own material, thickness and governing specification confirmed.
These alternatives are not interchangeable solely because they appear together in the title. The 10 mm pipe-size entry does not define a finished gasket bore or thickness. Ask what the separate 1/16 mounting-hole entry measures and which unit applies before relying on either field for dimensional selection.
Review the standard and chemical exposure
Confirm the applicable edition and scope of ASME B16.20 for the selected construction. The title reference alone does not demonstrate conformity or establish that every listed flat type falls within that standard. Request the relevant dimensional inspection, marking and material evidence for the actual supplied gasket.
Identify the process media, concentration where relevant, operating pressure and temperature, and cycling conditions. Generic Stainless Steel and Chemical Resistant wording cannot establish every component material or universal compatibility. Likewise, Pipe Class 125 does not give a 125 psi limit or establish the allowable rating of the assembled joint.
Define the complete order and acceptance package
Agree the selected type, exact dimensions, material details and tolerances together with the mating flange and bolting requirements. Clarify any required surface finish beyond Smooth, and review the generic seamless and Female fields against the approved drawing. Include quantity, traceability, inspection documents and delivery timing in the enquiry.
