This manual industrial ball valve enquiry includes flanged trunnion construction and API6D requirements for a defined service medium. Identify the selected model before assessing conformity or operating suitability. The enquiry should connect the internal support, material set and piping interface with the documents applicable to that same valve configuration.
Identify the model and API6D documentation scope
State the required standard edition and ask which selected model and configuration the documentation covers. Request the internal arrangement and body construction information needed to confirm the trunnion requirement. Check the manual actuation and intended operating duty at the same time. A general valve photograph or a visible marking does not establish the complete model specification or standard coverage.
Specify materials and the flanged connection together
Define the pressure-containing body, ball and seating materials as separate requirements. Request exact material specifications rather than treating a casting label as a grade. Obtain the flange, port and face-to-face dimensions for the chosen size and compare them with the mating pipework. Keep the interface and material details tied to the selected model so that different illustrated valves are not combined into one assumed configuration.
Replace broad media labels with the actual duty
Name the water, gas or other medium and provide its relevant composition and operating conditions. A general base-media description does not establish compatibility. Include the design pressure, temperature and required operating mode when requesting the valve's qualification and performance scope. Durability or service suitability should be evaluated from the selected configuration and documentation, rather than from a broad product label. Before acceptance, confirm the model, support arrangement, materials and interface together with the medium-specific operating limits and required API6D evidence.
