This cast carbon steel pipe-reducer enquiry carries an 80-inch title reference with ASME/ANSI B16.9 and A234 wording. Actual options use metric labels rather than an 80-inch variant. Obtain supply confirmation for the requested item before assigning material, dimensions or an operating basis.
Confirm the requested size and complete end arrangement
Determine what the 10, 12, 14, 50 and 30 mm options describe. They cannot establish 80-inch availability through an assumed conversion. Request both nominal end sizes, outside dimensions, wall and transition geometry on a selected drawing, with the required dimensional system and tolerances.
The Equal table entry leaves the reducing relationship open, and no concentric or eccentric form is stated. Allocate the 4 in length, height 8 and 0.25 in hole to their actual components. Confirm the height unit and installation orientation, then establish handling and access from the accepted geometry.
Complete A234 and the casting acceptance records
Select the governing B16.9-related document and edition, with applicable dimensional requirements. A234 is not a complete grade designation here; obtain the exact ordered material, specification, condition, traceability and certificates. Do not insert WPB or apply the carbon title to every stainless option.
Verify the listed Casting route through manufacturing and inspection records. Define male/female NPT designation, engagement, mating connection and sealing criteria. Agree Smooth finish locations, measurable acceptance and protection. No schedule, seamless route, forging requirement or specific heat treatment is provided by this entry.
Establish the numerical service and quotation scope
Provide medium chemistry, pressure, temperature, cycling, exposure, corrosion and external loads. Qualitative low-pressure and unrated labels leave operating limits unspecified. Obtain evidence for required flexibility and resistance performance, then agree material/joint acceptance, alignment, testing, marking and material, casting, dimensional, thread and surface reports with the quotation.
