This forged stainless steel socket-weld tee is listed with Class 3000 and high-pressure wording. The title mentions carbon steel and stainless grades 304/316L, but the sole 20NB variant states only Stainless Steel. Select the actual grade and component specification before confirming supply.
Select the stainless grade and forging documents
State the complete material designation, condition and governing document with its edition. Confirm whether 304 or 316L applies to the ordered tee, supported by traceability and certificates. The broader title does not create separate selectable grades or certify the generic stainless variant.
Obtain forging and inspection records and identify the selected B16.11 requirements. Polished is recorded under Technic in the table and does not identify manufacturing history. Define the actual production and conformity package, together with measurable polished and smooth surface acceptance and delivery protection.
Define the 20NB run, branch and socket layout
Provide a drawing stating the nominal sizing convention, run and branch sizes, angle, wall thickness and tolerances. Round does not determine equal or reducing geometry. Allocate the 2 in length and 0.25 in hole to actual features and check the installation envelope for the required tee.
Resolve Socket Weld and NPT through an actual end schedule. Define socket preparation, mating dimensions, examination and any applicable thread designation, sealing and inspection. Confirm availability of the selected configuration rather than assuming all listed interface terms are interchangeable.
Establish the selected high-pressure acceptance basis
Identify the Class 3000 rating basis at the actual material and temperature without treating the class as numerical operating pressure. Provide medium, numerical duty, cycling, corrosion exposure and loads. Clarify applicable feature claims and any buried use, obtain relevant resistance or flexibility evidence, and document material/joint acceptance with the drawing, production, interfaces, finish and testing package.
