This ninety-degree stainless elbow enquiry references the grades 304, 316 and 316L alongside Casting, BSPT and DIN. The specification table lists Welding and an unspecified Other manufacturing entry. Begin with those differences: the selected elbow needs a documented connection and production route before these title references can become an accepted specification.
Resolve BSPT and Welding at both ends
Ask for a drawing tied to the selected variant that identifies each end. Do not assume that the thread and welding labels describe a combined design. A threaded configuration requires its complete thread designation, size, engagement and mating pipe threads. A welded configuration requires the actual preparation, wall alignment and joining inspection requirements. Confirm which description applies before planning the pipe connection.
Use the bend drawing rather than gallery markings
The photographs show several silver and dark elbows with markings; they do not establish each option's actual grade, wall, angle or manufacture. Confirm the requested ninety-degree direction through its tolerance, centreline radius, centre-to-end dimensions and installation clearance. Explain the millimetre size convention and record both end dimensions. Equal, Hexagon and the mounting-hole field cannot replace a complete bend drawing. DIN also needs a numbered designation and edition.
Document one grade and the complete joint conditions
Choose one stainless material requirement with traceable documents; the three title grades are not automatically interchangeable or jointly qualified. Alloy and Carbon Steel menu choices need separate assessment. Obtain production evidence for Casting, since Other provides no specific route. Clarify Painting and the actual joint-zone surface condition. Establish the basis of Pipe Class 125, then evaluate fluid, temperature, pressure, corrosion and mechanical loads for both adjoining pipes and their completed joints.
