This heavy-wall carbon steel welded tee listing targets steam and oil systems and includes an SCH160 reference. The original image supports a tee form, while the selectable type is labeled Reducer. Confirm the actual component, wall dimensions and supplied material package before accepting a configuration for thermal service.
Map SCH160 to actual wall requirements
Specify the nominal size and dimensional specification used to establish the required wall values and tolerances. SCH160 and Heavy Wall do not provide one fixed thickness across the size range. Obtain actual run and branch dimensions, bore, diameters and center-to-end measurements on the approved drawing.
Resolve how the tee maps to the selected option and confirm the Equal arrangement. Define welding end preparation, mating-pipe requirements and dimensional inspection criteria. Customized Size, Metric and Hexagon entries do not provide measured geometry, and the image cannot verify wall thickness or establish an allowable pressure rating.
Confirm material and thermal surface acceptance
Request the supplied grade, condition, traceability and material inspection records. Carbon Steel and a234wpb options are labels rather than certificates. Obtain actual production evidence supporting Forged and the required acceptance documentation for the selected fitting, including any material requirements linked to the intended thermal duty.
Define Painting coverage, surface acceptance and inspection criteria. Confirm the actual treatment against the requested temperature and exposure conditions rather than assuming thermal resistance from the title or dark appearance. Agree preservation and handling requirements separately from the operating suitability of the supplied surface package.
Define steam or oil operating conditions
State whether the component serves steam, oil or separate systems, with actual composition, pressure, temperature, thermal cycles, transients and loads. High Temperature, High Pressure and Other class leave numerical limits unspecified. Evaluate the confirmed material, wall and joints, then agree inspections, records, marking, protection and delivery against project acceptance.
