This ERW carbon steel fire-protection pipe enquiry lists ASTM A53/A795, SCH10/SCH40 and grooved or threaded alternatives in the title. The actual variants select thickness and length only. Confirm one complete material, wall and connection specification before treating the combined references as an ordered configuration.
Select one standard, schedule and pipe-end arrangement
Request the governing A53 or A795 document and edition, full material designation, condition, traceability and certificates. Obtain ERW manufacturing evidence. The source does not establish dual certification or a particular grade, and the generic carbon steel/ASTM table entries do not complete that specification.
Allocate SCH10 or SCH40 to the selected nominal size and actual wall. Specify grooved or threaded ends separately: request groove/coupling geometry for the former, or thread standard, dimensions, engagement and joining procedure for the latter. Threaded wording alone does not identify NPT.
Resolve the unitless thickness and painted finish
Thickness 1.2 is offered with lengths 12 m, 6 m or 6.4 m. Thickness and outer diameter 150–350 lack units. Obtain the actual bore, outside diameter and wall with units, and assign ±1% to the intended dimensional property and acceptance basis.
Clarify painting in the title against Galvanized in the table. Specify the final substrate/layer arrangement, internal/external coverage, preparation, coating thickness, inspection and end protection. No epoxy chemistry or red colour is recorded. Allocate Slightly Oiled to the finished condition and agree field-joint treatment and repair.
Confirm fire-protection acceptance for the selected pipe
Provide system requirements, medium, pressure, temperature, exposure, cycling and loads, then obtain applicable approvals. High Pressure gives no numerical duty or fire listing. Verify ISO 9001 document scope and agree installation support, alignment, joint/coating testing, inspection, handling, marking, material/dimensional records and quotation scope.
