This ASTM A234 WPC mild-steel reducer enquiry requires an accepted material and manufacturing basis for the supplied transition. Keep the WPC designation explicit when requesting documentation, then establish the complete geometry and joining requirements for the actual pipework.
Accept the exact grade and production route
Obtain the applicable specification, accepted grade, product form, delivery condition and traceable inspection records. Mild-steel and Carbon Steel naming do not certify composition or establish an interchangeable grade. A similar-looking designation should not replace WPC without acceptance.
Clarify whether Welded describes the body manufacturing route separately from installation welding. Forged naming needs actual production and inspection evidence; a welding connection alone cannot establish how the reducer body was made.
Define the selected DN end pair
The actual variants are Reducer / Carbon Steel / DN150, DN125 and DN100. Select one listed choice, then specify both end sizes and the nominal-size basis. Each single DN label leaves outside diameters, bores and wall thicknesses to be documented.
Require overall length, transition profile, alignment and tolerances, with concentric or eccentric arrangement and orientation stated explicitly. Repeated inch ranges for length, height and mounting-hole diameter cannot establish selected DN geometry. The two viewed workshop and paired-reducer references cannot certify supplied WPC grade, size, alignment or manufacture.
Confirm joining and numerical service
Agree the actual delivered joining system and mating-pipe fit, including relevant welding preparation or thread details. Polished and corrosion-resistant descriptions do not identify protective chemistry or compatibility with every process fluid.
Low Pressure remains qualitative, and Other class/application wording does not define numerical limits or the intended installation. Provide medium composition, pressure, temperature, cycling, flow and mechanical loads. Submit the accepted WPC material/manufacturing documents, complete both-end/alignment drawing, surface requirements and inspection criteria together for review of the assembled joint.
