This Grade C A106 steel pipe is listed for power plant boiler enquiries with SA106, SCH40 and SCH80 references. High-pressure and seamless wording also appears alongside Saw technique. Define the selected supply and its project acceptance requirements before treating the combined title as a verified boiler specification.

Identify the governing boiler material documentation

Specify the required document, edition, Grade C condition and selected scope under A106 or SA106. Request the records relevant to that project rather than assuming automatic dual certification from the two references. Material traceability, properties, inspection and tests should identify the actual pipe offered.

Provide boiler medium, operating temperature, pressure, cycling and mechanical loads for material, joint and rating assessment. Include the applicable project approval requirements. High-pressure wording supplies neither a numerical operating limit nor boiler certification, and approval cannot be established solely from a grade name.

Match the schedule to a confirmed dimensional configuration

SCH40 and SCH80 are title alternatives without dedicated variants. Select one schedule against the nominal size, dimensional basis and actual wall. The table diameter range is 219–1066 mm; the two variants pair 6–20 mm thickness with either 12 m or 6 m length.

Confirm a complete diameter, wall, length and end configuration rather than assuming every range combination corresponds to both schedules. Define the measurement covered by ±1% and agree relevant geometry and dimensional inspections. A schedule designation does not itself provide a pressure rating for the selected boiler duty.

Clarify manufacture and verify the selected supply records

Ask how the seamless description relates to Saw and obtain manufacturing evidence without assigning Saw a welding or cutting meaning. Confirm round, hot-rolled and non-oiled condition. Actual API or ISO 9001 certificates need scope and validity checks; EMT wording does not establish another qualification or replace the boiler acceptance package.
