This painted carbon steel butt-weld tee listing is intended for oil and gas pipelines with ASME B16.9 and seamless references. The original image supports a tee form, while the selectable type reads Reducer. Confirm the ordered component and actual branch arrangement before relying on the Equal description.
Approve run and branch geometry together
The title and table say Equal, but the reviewed image shows a branch that appears smaller than the run. Appearance does not establish a reduction ratio or measured size. Request the actual run and branch drawing, with nominal sizes, diameters, bore, wall and center-to-end dimensions.
Confirm how this configuration maps to the selected option and define butt-welding end preparation, mating-pipe details and tolerances. Hexagon, Customized Size and Metric entries do not supply the missing measurements. Agree explicit units and dimensional inspection criteria for the selected fitting rather than using a generic range as a drawing.
Check ASME scope and production documentation
Identify the applicable ASME B16.9 edition, component coverage and project acceptance requirements. Obtain the actual manufacturing and inspection records supporting Forged and Seamless. A standard reference or construction word in the title does not prove conformity or document the production route of the supplied tee.
Request material grade, condition and traceability records; Carbon Steel and a234wpb options are not certificates. Specify the Painting treatment, covered surfaces, surface acceptance and coating inspections. Confirm handling and preservation requirements without inferring coating composition or corrosion performance from the dark appearance in the image.
Define the oil and gas pipeline envelope
Provide medium composition, contaminants, pressure, temperature, cycles, transients and external loads. High Pressure and Other class leave numerical limits unspecified. Assess the confirmed material, branch geometry, joint and surface package against the actual duty, then agree end inspections, documentation, marking, protection and delivery before release.
