This forged socket-weld tee is listed with Class 3000 and an A105 material reference. The actual 20NB variant is labelled stainless steel. Resolve the selected material specification and connection allocation before confirming the tee for high-pressure pipework or preparing a supply quotation.
Resolve material and forged production evidence
Specify the complete required material designation, condition and governing document. Clarify how the A105 title reference relates to the stainless variant, with traceability and certificates identifying the ordered component. The listing does not establish a settled grade assignment for that selection.
Obtain actual forging and inspection records and identify the chosen B16.11 document and edition. Polished appears in the table under Technic, but it does not define the production route. Confirm selected conformity requirements rather than treating the title or table labels as certification.
Draw the run, branch and socket interfaces
State the 20NB nominal sizing convention, run and branch sizes, angle, wall thickness and tolerances. Allocate the listed 2 in length and 0.25 in hole to actual features and check installation clearance. Round does not establish an equal or reducing tee arrangement; provide the required geometry explicitly.
Resolve Socket Weld and NPT with an end schedule. Define socket preparation, mating dimensions, welding examination and any applicable thread designation, sealing and inspection. The entries do not prove interchangeable connections. Agree measurable Polished and Smooth finish criteria and delivery protection.
Support high-pressure duty with selected records
Identify the Class 3000 rating basis at the actual material and temperature without converting the label into operating pressure. Provide medium, numerical duty, cycling, corrosion exposure and loads. Clarify claimed features and any buried use, obtain relevant resistance or flexibility evidence, and document material/joint acceptance with the drawing, production, interfaces and test package.
