This 2-inch ASTM A234 WPB SCH 40 elbow enquiry requests a 60-degree bend. Begin with the accepted angle and layout drawing before choosing end preparation or assessing the component for construction piping.
Measure the requested 60-degree layout
Specify angle and tolerance, bend radius, orientation and center-to-end dimensions required by the pipe route. Reference photographs include visible 90-degree wording on example bodies; those markings cannot certify the requested 60-degree supply. Accept a measured drawing rather than substituting an angle from appearance.
The sole actual selection is Elbow / 1/2-inch to 12-inch / Carbon Steel. Confirm the requested 2-inch size within that range, with nominal or outside-diameter basis, end diameters, bores and size-specific SCH 40 wall. Title size, angle and schedule do not create separate variants or prove inventory. Repeated ranges under length, height and mounting-hole diameter are not measured dimensions.
Accept actual joining ends and ASTM evidence
Define the supplied end arrangement explicitly. A welded requirement needs selected preparation, compatible pipe walls, procedure and inspection. Any threaded request needs its own size, form, engagement and mating acceptance. Bend and Hexagon wording does not establish full geometry or a certified combined connection.
Request selected ASTM A234 WPB product and grade evidence with heat-traceable material certificate and inspection records. A forged requirement needs actual production evidence independent from joining method. Neither dark appearance nor a visible reference marking certifies delivered grade, wall or manufacture.
Assess finish and complete joint duty
Specify finish/coating chemistry and exposure criteria rather than inferring corrosion resistance from smooth surfaces. Construction naming does not approve the actual medium. Low Pressure and Not Rated provide no numerical operating envelope.
Submit fluid composition, temperature, pressure and cycling with an accepted drawing for the 60-degree, 2-inch, SCH 40 requirement, actual ends, material and production evidence, standard requirements and finish criteria. Qualification needs the selected elbow, mating pipe and complete installed joint so dimensional fit and operating suitability are assessed together.
