This gas and petrochemical piping listing describes a forged carbon steel equal tee with a painted surface. The original image shows branch fittings, while the actual type option says Reducer. Reconcile that discrepancy before ordering a tee for a defined piping layout.
Confirm the branch configuration and end details
Provide the required run and branch sizes, center-to-end dimensions, wall thickness and end preparation. The image supports a tee family but does not verify equal measured diameters or material properties. The selected part should be identified through an approved drawing rather than the generic option wording alone.
The listed size range is 1/2–110 inches and does not establish availability of every fitting and wall combination. Request the actual schedule, bore tolerances and welding end requirements. Customized dimensions and the Hexagon or thread fields need explanation against the intended tee, without assuming a separate threaded connection.
Verify the material and process application
Review the applicable editions and scope of ASME B16.9 and ASTM A234 WPB for the proposed fitting. Obtain material traceability, manufacturing records and required heat-treatment or inspection documents. FORGED and a234wpb are source labels; neither replaces the evidence required by the purchase specification.
For gas or petrochemical duty, identify fluid composition, water and contaminants, pressure, temperature, cycles and external loads. High Pressure wording supplies no numerical capacity. Assess the selected material and joints for the actual process, including any specific sour-service or hydrogen requirements that need separate qualification.
Specify the painted supply condition
Agree surface preparation, coating system and inspection requirements for the intended storage and operating environment. Painting alone does not establish a protection level or chemical resistance. Confirm the final configuration, quantity, marking, OEM requirements, delivery timing and the listed one-year warranty terms with the material and dimensional acceptance package.
