This primer-coated WPB carbon steel cap is listed for offshore enquiries with sand-blasted, A234 and B16.9 title references. Anti-rust primer wording describes the proposed treatment without a quantified protection level. Agree the surface preparation and coating specification for the actual project environment.
Define the blasting and primer acceptance requirements
Request blasting cleanliness, surface profile and inspection criteria, followed by primer chemistry, system, thickness, curing and finish requirements. Confirm whether further coating is required by the project. The title does not establish a complete offshore coating system or verified corrosion-protection performance.
Describe installation environment and actual external exposure, together with relevant medium and temperature conditions. Obtain coating and material evidence for that exposure. General corrosion, chemical, UV, flexible and underground labels do not automatically qualify the cap for every marine or offshore installation.
Complete the cap drawing and WPB supply scope
The sole variant is Cap / 10 mm / Carbon Steel. Clarify the size meaning and obtain nominal size, actual outside dimensions, wall and tolerances. Flange connectivity needs face, drilling, mating and sealing details on a selected component drawing.
Allocate four-inch length, quarter-inch mounting hole, round shape, hexagon head and inch measurement entries to that drawing. Request governing A234 and B16.9 documents, editions, selected scope, WPB condition, certificates and traceability. Manufacturing and inspection records should address the machining entry without importing an unstated construction route.
Verify offshore duty and documentary acceptance
Provide pressure, temperature, cycling and mechanical loads alongside the environmental information. Require selected material, coating, joint and rating evidence and project-required approvals. Low Pressure and Class 150 do not establish numerical service limits here. Agree dimensional/coating examination, testing and documents; offshore title wording alone does not supply marine or subsea certification.
