This 90-degree alloy elbow enquiry concerns intercooler and turbine-outlet connections. The sole actual combination is Elbow / 63mm / Alloy. Confirm the exact alloy and supplied end configuration before ordering; the application name does not select an aluminium grade or prove hot-exhaust suitability.

Develop the actual 63mm routing envelope

Establish whether 63mm means outside diameter, nominal size or another dimension. Specify actual bend angle, centreline radius, end diameters, bore, walls, tangent lengths, centre-to-end dimensions and tolerances. Check the completed drawing against installation clearances and the mating assembly before accepting supply.

The inch ranges under length and height do not define the selected elbow or additional actual variants. The mounting-hole label does not establish flow bore. Photographed curved pieces and printed markings cannot certify the selected alloy, wall schedule, standard or manufacturing route.

Confirm the alloy certificate and selected joining

Request the exact product material specification, grade, composition or condition where applicable, traceable certificate and matching identification. Alloy alone leaves the material family unspecified. Forged requires actual manufacturing and inspection records; Smooth gives no measured roughness, coating or cleanliness acceptance.

Accept one end drawing. Welded supply requires preparation, matching pipe wall, joining method and inspection. A threaded selection requires one exact NPT or BSPT form with size, gender, engagement, gauging and sealing acceptance. Do not assume hose beads, clamps or another automotive connection without selected evidence.

Assess intercooler and turbine duties separately

For intercooler use, supply actual medium, temperature and boost-pressure cycles. For turbine-outlet use, define medium, operating temperature, thermal cycling, supports and joint design. Low Pressure and Not Rated give no certified operating envelope. Obtain the governing standard and actual material-temperature-joint acceptance for the chosen duty. Enquire with the selected size basis, alloy certificate, dimensional/end drawing and manufacturing/finish requirements.
