This grooved steel pipe enquiry concerns shipbuilding and petrochemical applications. The title combines welded and seamless wording with Grade B under A106, X52, X70 and 5L references. The actual variants select thickness and length only, so confirm the supplied manufacturing route and material specification before procurement.
Separate the manufacturing and grade alternatives
Request the actual welded or seamless route and its supporting records. Do not treat both words as a confirmed process for one item. Obtain the full material designation, governing document and edition, condition, heat traceability and certificates for the selected pipe.
Allocate Grade B under A106, X52, X70 and the abbreviated 5L reference through accepted documents where relevant. They are not established equivalents or proof of dual certification. Generic ASTM, API/EMT/Thick Wall and processing-service entries do not resolve the title alternatives or certify every operation.
Define the grooved pipe dimensions and galvanized finish
Thickness 1.2 is offered with lengths 12 m, 6 m or 6.4 m. Thickness and outer diameter 150–350 have no stated units. Specify actual nominal size, bore, outside diameter and wall with units; no schedule is recorded. Assign ±1% to its intended property.
Obtain the groove profile, manufacturing method, dimensions and tolerances, and approve the compatible coupling, gasket and fasteners. Define galvanizing coverage, thickness, inspection, groove/end protection and field-joint repair. Clarify Slightly Oiled against the accepted finished condition and installation surfaces.
Approve the marine or petrochemical project duty
Provide actual medium, concentration where relevant, pressure, temperature, corrosion exposure, cycling and loads. Confirm shipbuilding classification/project requirements or petrochemical acceptance individually. High Pressure supplies no numerical duty. Verify CE/ISO 9001 scope, then agree installation support, testing, inspection, handling, marking, material/process records and quotation scope.
