Confirm the carrier pipe, manufacturing route and complete insulated assembly before procurement.
Separate carrier dimensions from the finished jacket
Actual options provide a 6–20 mm thickness range with lengths 12 m or 6 m. The table lists outside diameter 219–1066 mm. Ask whether that diameter applies to the steel carrier or finished assembly, then specify carrier bore/wall, insulation thickness and HDPE jacket diameter individually.
The ranges do not select one size or prove availability of every combination. Allocate ±1% to its intended dimensional properties and measurement basis. Request the full P235JH designation, governing document, condition, traceability and material certificates, with records resolving ERW versus the Saw technique entry.
Define the polyurethane and HDPE system construction
Obtain the accepted foam and jacket specifications, layer thicknesses, processing and bonding requirements where applicable. Agree end cutbacks, field-joint insulation and sealing details, jacket integrity and inspection. No thermal conductivity, foam density, temperature limit or service lifetime is recorded and should be assumed.
Clarify the governing ASTM/JIS/BIS/API references and required certification scope rather than treating the title stack as one approved system. The processing-service list does not certify every operation. Request applicable API/ISO 9001 records alongside carrier, insulation, jacket and dimensional inspection evidence.
Review the actual buried thermal pipeline conditions
Provide medium, carrier pressure/temperature, thermal cycling, groundwater/soil conditions, burial depth and external loads. Obtain movement, joint and installation acceptance for the selected system, including water-ingress protection. Agree joining, handling, storage, installation support, testing, marking, records and quotation scope before assigning direct-burial suitability.
