This seamless butt-weld end-cap enquiry references DN200, DN150 and carbon steel/MS/alloy. Actual Cap variants use millimetre labels and broad material choices rather than explicit DN200 or DN150 selections. Confirm how the title sizes relate to the offered variant before defining the pipe closure or assuming a supplied size range.
Map the nominal request to a cap section drawing
Ask for the selected nominal-size convention and actual pipe-end diameter; nominal DN is not automatically a measured end diameter. Record the cap's depth, closure profile, edge wall and body wall requirements with the adjoining pipe data. The photographs show dark domed exterior and interior examples without qualifying actual size, material or manufacture. Equal, Hexagon and the mounting-hole field do not define the cap profile or an intended hole through the closure.
Clarify MS and one exact material requirement
Select Carbon Steel for the carbon/MS enquiry and establish the intended MS designation, exact grade, specification and edition with traceability. Alloy and Stainless Steel choices need separate exact materials. No schedule is assigned by the page, so define required thickness and tolerance at the cap body and weld edge through the drawing. Customized Size alone does not establish supplied dimensions or capacity.
Document seamless manufacture and the closure weld separately
Request production evidence for Seamless independently from butt-weld joining. The Forged entry also needs production records; it is not automatically incompatible with a seamless body description. Confirm edge preparation, wall alignment and joining inspection with the mating pipe, along with coating and joint-zone condition beyond Painting. Establish the dimensional requirements and Pipe Class 150's material/temperature basis. Assess fluid, pressure, temperature, corrosion and closure loads across the cap, adjoining pipe and completed weld before acceptance.
