This carbon steel elbow listing describes a 90-degree bend for water supply with API 5L X65 and anti-corrosion coating references. One Elbow option is listed in a 1/2–12 inch pipe-size range. Confirm the actual fitting material, connection and surface package before agreeing its use in the water system.
Resolve the ends and elbow dimensions
The specification table contains both Welding and NPT, so the actual end arrangement remains to be confirmed. Obtain the component drawing instead of assuming a welded or threaded installation. Define the end preparation or thread requirements applicable to the supplied elbow and its mating pipe.
Specify nominal size, angle, bend radius, center-to-end dimensions, outside diameter and wall thickness. The repeated 1/2–12 inch entries under length, height and mounting-hole diameter do not provide those drawing dimensions. Hexagon wording also does not establish the bend geometry; review the selected component rather than transferring generic table fields into the design.
Confirm material scope and coating requirements
Clarify the API 5L X65 title reference against the actual fitting material specification and adjoining pipe requirements. Carbon Steel is the supported material family, but the specific grade and conformity need supplied records. FORGED in the table should be checked against the required production and inspection package.
Request the coating specification, covered surfaces, relevant thickness and inspection criteria. Anti-corrosion, smooth and corrosion resistant wording does not demonstrate a particular treatment or performance level. Agree the actual finish and material records instead of assuming a corrosion guarantee from those descriptions.
Quantify the water supply operating conditions
Provide water chemistry, treatment chemicals, contaminants, pressure, temperature, transients and cycles. Low Pressure and Not Rated do not establish a numerical allowable envelope. Confirm project acceptance, material and dimensional inspections, end and surface records, marking, preservation and delivery. Clarify any OEM requirements and warranty terms separately from technical service acceptance.
