This forged carbon steel blind flange enquiry references ASME B16.5, a 2 inch requirement and ANSI Class 150. Stainless steel alternatives are also selectable. Define the actual closure design and mating flange dimensions before choosing an item for the joint.

Solid-centre closure and nominal size mapping

Confirm that the selected flange has a solid centre and the required blind-flange configuration on its approved drawing. Gallery examples include an open-centre flange and a solid-centre example; these do not identify the supplied design for every variant. Generic Flange selections need explicit blind-subtype confirmation.

Match the nominal 2 inch requirement to documented dimensions rather than assuming that a 50 mm label is equivalent. The other labels—10 mm, 12 mm, 14 mm and 30 mm—also need a size map. Request thickness, outside diameter, facing, bolt circle, hole count and hole diameter. Generic length, height and mounting-hole entries are not a complete selected-item drawing.

Class 150 closure and forging evidence

Choose the exact carbon steel or stainless steel grade and obtain manufacturing traceability. Forged wording requires selected-item evidence, while B16.5 and Class 150 references require the applicable complete specification and edition. Neither Class 150 nor High Pressure wording establishes a fixed working pressure.

Assess the closure with its actual material, temperature, gasket, bolting and mating equipment. Welding and NPT entries do not establish a port in the blind face; document any required port separately. Painting, underground, UV and chemical-resistance requirements need the specified finish and exposure evidence.

Drawing requirements for a blind flange quotation

Provide the solid-centre design, nominal size, facing and bolt pattern with the mating flange details. State operating medium, pressure, temperature, exposure and inspection requirements. Confirm gasket and bolting compatibility and their inclusion separately, then evaluate the proposed closure against the documented joint specification.
