Clarify the actual finished coating and socket arrangement before assigning performance or selecting a connection for the intended water system.
Specify the internal and external water-pipe finish
Request the proposed substrate, layer sequence and coverage on both surfaces. The source does not establish whether painting, galvanizing or a documented combination will be supplied, and no epoxy chemistry is specified. Agree preparation, thickness, cure, adhesion and inspection for the accepted coating.
Confirm coating suitability for the actual water chemistry and obtain potable-water contact approval where relevant. Define field-joint treatment, repair and protection of connection surfaces.
