This branch outlet page supports an enquiry with a specified butt-weld, socket-weld or threaded branch connection and any required ASME B16.11 or class 6000 conditions. Choose one outlet form before defining the configuration. The run-pipe attachment and the branch connection need separate dimensions and qualification for the intended service.
Select one branch connection form
State whether the branch connection must be butt welded, socket welded or threaded. Give the branch nominal size, actual diameter, wall and the preparation or thread specification needed for that interface. Different connection names should not be treated as one interchangeable fitting. Ask for a drawing of the selected outlet form so that the branch detail can be checked against the mating pipe.
Confirm the base against the run pipe
Provide the run-pipe outside diameter and wall separately from the branch size. Show the required attachment geometry and ask for confirmation that the outlet base contour matches the run pipe. A single selectable size does not establish the full run-and-branch relationship. Include any installation dimensions needed to position the outlet correctly on the piping drawing.
Qualify class and standard for the chosen outlet
State the exact Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel grade and required construction. Identify any ASME B16.11 and class 6000 requirement explicitly, then confirm its applicability to the selected outlet form. Naming a class does not establish high-pressure capability for every connection variant. Provide design pressure, temperature and the service medium, and request the relevant dimensional, material, construction and pressure-temperature evidence. Review those records with the run and branch drawing before accepting the outlet for service.
