This 24-inch SCH40 seamless carbon steel equal butt-weld tee enquiry is not fully aligned with its options. Both actual variants are labelled Reducer. Confirm the ordered shape before procurement, then document the required size and wall rather than assuming the generic range supplies a selected tee configuration.
Establish the 24-inch component and its end layout
Request supplier confirmation and a drawing identifying the actual item. A tee requires all run/branch nominal sizes and equal or reducing geometry; a reducer requires the correct two-end specification. Existing Reducer labels remain unchanged until the catalogue family is reconciled.
The half-inch-to-110-inch range does not separately select 24 inches or every end combination. Obtain outside diameters, bores, wall thickness, center-to-end dimensions, tolerances and butt-weld preparation for the accepted shape. Customized length, height and mounting-hole fields provide no actual measurements or established hole feature.
Verify SCH40 and seamless manufacture through records
Allocate SCH40 to the selected size and actual wall using accepted documents. No exact dimensional standard is recorded, so agree the applicable specification explicitly. A schedule reference alone does not establish numerical duty or certify the complete pipe/fitting connection.
Obtain the full carbon steel designation, condition, traceability and certificates, including WPB allocation where the a234wpb option is intended. Request records supporting SMLS/seamless and forged wording. Resolve Hexagon against the drawing, identify actual ends rather than relying on custom thread wording, and define plain-finish inspection.
Agree the operating envelope for the confirmed fitting
High Pressure and Other class give no accepted numerical limits. Provide the actual medium, pressure, temperature, corrosion exposure, cycling and loads for compatibility assessment. Agree matching pipe, joining, support, inspection, marking, material/process/dimensional records, warranty terms and quotation scope after the selected shape and wall are confirmed.
