An Elbolet or Latrolet branch-outlet enquiry should identify the pipe geometry and the exact branch connection required. Define the run pipe, branch size and branch position together, then obtain a selected-item drawing. The proposed fitting needs material, manufacturing and standard records that match that same outlet configuration before it is assessed for the intended joint.
Define the Run Pipe and Branch Geometry
State the run pipe size, wall thickness and shape at the attachment location. Identify the required branch size, position and angle on the drawing. Confirm the outlet contour and dimensions against the actual pipe surface. A single fitting-size option does not define both run and branch dimensions. Have the proposed Elbolet or Latrolet arrangement identified explicitly rather than treating several outlet names as one interchangeable configuration.
Specify the Branch End and Material Grade
Define the actual branch-end connection. Welding, socket and threaded arrangements need different end details and mating requirements. Obtain the corresponding end preparation or thread specification for the selected fitting. State the exact carbon-steel, stainless-steel or alloy grade required and request traceable material records. Confirm forged construction through the manufacturing documentation, keeping the grade and process distinct from the general material-family label.
Identify Standard Scope and Joint Qualification
State the applicable standard and edition for the selected outlet type, such as an MSS SP 97 or ASME B16.11 requirement where relevant to the project specification. Define the pressure designation and dimensional scope without treating a numerical label as an operating pressure. Match the fitting wall requirements to the run and branch pipes. Name the medium and service conditions, then obtain the design and operating qualification for the completed branch joint. Review those records with the drawing before selecting the final outlet configuration.
