A dish-end pipe fitting cap enquiry should separate the required surface finish from the geometry of the closure. If a polished stainless cap is needed, state that material and finish requirement explicitly, then define the opening and profile of the part to be supplied.
Define the dish profile for the pipe end
Provide the cap opening diameter, depth and wall thickness with the dimensional units and pipe-end reference. Confirm the required welding preparation as part of the same drawing so the cap and adjoining pipe can be reviewed together. The dish shape needs to match the intended closure arrangement; neither a broad nominal range nor a reference photograph establishes all of those dimensions.
Specify the grade and finish as separate requirements
