This carbon steel welding tee listing refers to gas piping, A234 WPB and B16.9, with corrosion-resistant painting wording. The title and table say Equal, but actual variants use Reducer labels. Inspected photographs show tee forms without establishing the exact end-size relationship or the selected supplied configuration.
Define the painted finish and corrosion acceptance
Request the coating system, surface preparation, coverage, thickness and inspection criteria needed for the intended exposure. Corrosion Resistant Painting supplies no measured protection performance here. Specify the relevant gas and external environment before assessing whether the proposed treatment meets the project requirements.
Painting in the table also identifies no chemistry or acceptance test. Ask for treatment records and the agreed finish condition for the chosen fitting. The appearance of painted photographs does not verify coating composition, durability or compatibility with the actual operating medium.
Confirm the tee geometry and selected material
Obtain a drawing showing run, branch, every end size, wall and center distances. Resolve the Equal wording and Reducer-labelled selection against that drawing; the photographs do not measure equal or reducing dimensions. Specify the actual size within the half-inch to 110-inch entry and agree its metric dimensional basis.
The material options are Carbon Steel and a234wpb for the same broad type and size entries. Request governing A234 WPB and B16.9 documents, editions and selected scope with traceable material and forged manufacturing records. Agree welding end preparation and clarify any Hexagon, mounting-hole or thread labels against the actual geometry.
Review the gas duty with the required supply evidence
Provide gas composition, moisture or other relevant exposure, pressure, temperature, cycling and loads for material, joint and rating assessment. High Pressure does not establish a numerical operating limit. Agree inspection, tests and project acceptance for the confirmed tee after its geometry, material condition and finish requirements are defined.
