This stainless pipe-fitting enquiry references ASTM and the grades 304, 304L, 316 and 316L, with threaded and welded elbow wording. Its actual menu includes both Elbow and TEE. Choose the intended type first, then resolve the connection and material for that particular variant rather than applying the elbow title to every choice.
Start with the selected elbow or tee layout
An elbow request needs its bend angle, radius, centre-to-end dimensions and pipe orientation. A TEE request needs a drawing of the run and branch, with all three ends identified. Confirm whether Equal describes the chosen configuration and record each end's dimensions. The photographs show curved examples, including visible markings, without qualifying every option's geometry, grade, wall or standard.
Resolve the threaded and welded references per end
The title's Threaded and Welded references and the table's Welding entry do not assign an actual end design. Request a drawing for the selected fitting instead of assuming a hybrid connection. For threads, specify the complete thread requirement and mating pipe threads. For welding, confirm end preparation, wall alignment and joining inspection. Explain the millimetre size convention; Customized Size, Hexagon and the mounting-hole value cannot replace actual end and wall measurements.
Match one material specification to the chosen type
The broad Stainless Steel option does not assign any individual title grade. Select one exact material with traceable documents and establish the numbered ASTM designation and edition. Do not assume equivalence or dual qualification between the listed grades. Alloy and Carbon Steel choices need separate requirements. Verify Forged from production records and clarify Painting and the joint-zone finish. Establish Pipe Class 150's basis before assessing fluid, pressure, temperature, corrosion and mechanical loads across the selected fitting and every adjoining pipe joint.
