This SCH80S welding tee fitting enquiry has conflicting catalogue information. The title names stainless steel, A403 WP304L and B16.9, while the actual options identify carbon-steel Reducers. Two inspected product images show tee-shaped fittings, but photographs cannot certify the material or reconcile the component being ordered.
Reconcile the tee photographs and Reducer options
Ask the supplier to identify the actual family and material for the selected item. The photographed metallic tee and dark tee group support a tee enquiry only. Existing carbon steel and a234wpb options remain alternatives requiring clarification; they are not evidence of stainless WP304L supply.
For a confirmed tee, obtain all run/branch nominal sizes, equal or reducing geometry, outside diameters, bores, wall thickness and center-to-end dimensions. The half-inch-to-110-inch range does not select those dimensions. Confirm weld preparation and tolerances through an accepted drawing before matching the pipe system.
Document SCH80S and the intended material
Allocate SCH80S to the actual nominal size and verify the wall thickness. Agree the applicable B16.9 edition and configuration coverage. Request full material designation, heat traceability and certificates supporting A403 WP304L where intended; do not substitute an unverified carbon-steel designation for that requirement.
Length, height, mounting-hole and thread fields state Customized Size, leaving actual values and end details incomplete. Clarify Hexagon against the drawing and request evidence for forged manufacture. Plain finish and surface colour do not establish grade, coating or service compatibility.
Set service limits after identity confirmation
High Pressure and Other class provide no numerical approval. State medium, temperature, pressure, corrosion conditions, cycling and loads. Obtain acceptance after family/material reconciliation, then agree joining, inspection, traceability, marking, dimensional/material records, warranty terms and quotation scope.
