This A234 WPB carbon steel pipe fitting enquiry is presented as a seamless round-head butt-weld tee for construction and low-pressure applications. Begin with the selected material certificate and accepted component drawing before specifying a branch connection.
Match the ordered material to its own certificate
Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel are two actual material choices. An A234 WPB request needs the applicable carbon steel specification and traceable grade evidence; it does not certify the stainless selection. Customized material alone identifies no exact grade. Agree heat identification, inspection and acceptance documentation.
The actual supplied subtype also needs acceptance. For tee supply, specify both run ends and the branch diameter, bore and wall at each opening, orientation, center-to-end measurements and tolerances. Equal requires measured confirmation. Three-opening photographs help comparison without certifying equal geometry or material.
Define size units and distinguish manufacture from joining
Both TEE variants share the option 1/2' ~ 48'. Confirm its intended units explicitly rather than converting apostrophes to inches or feet. It is one range, not separate selectable sizes. Customized Size and the 0.25-inch mounting-hole entry do not provide a complete pipe-end drawing.
Obtain production records supporting the accepted body manufacturing route and any seamless requirement. Butt-weld joining separately needs agreed end preparation, compatible pipe walls, welding procedure and inspection. Round wording cannot replace the full three-end geometry or establish how the body was made.
Accept the paint system and complete installed duty
Specify paint preparation, composition, coverage, thickness and relevant weld-end treatment for the intended exposure. Dark appearance supplies no corrosion certification. Petroleum, gas and water application naming does not approve the actual medium.
Not Rated supplies no numerical working envelope. Submit fluid composition, temperature, pressure and cycling alongside accepted identity, explicit units, full drawing, material and production evidence, butt-weld requirements and coating criteria. Brand wording does not establish manufacturer identity or origin; the selected documents must support the complete joint assessment.
